Now that does look interesting,  I will certainly tune in for that.

      Thankyou Abraham

I agree with you but how do you ascertain if they are more knowledgeable than you.

I have employed many people male and female with a list of credentials and although initially seem to be eager at first turn out to be very disappointing in the long run.

I find it’s sometimes best to take on the mediocre types and nurture them as the go along,   Also they are cheaper to feed water than the ones who claim to know everything but in the end know nothing.  Train them up on the job is my philosophy.

Nice shot of the cinema but it would have better if you Included the untouched photo so that we can compare the two.  That would make it more interesting.

In reply to the original question about Blain Brown, I can recommend his books as they contain a lot of technical detail which most books these do not, many of the books on the market claim to provide a wealth of information but contain very little, mostly are written by vanity publishers and charge massive price which amounts to daylight robbery.  However, I can recommend Blain Brown as a worthy author even though they are still expensive but they are worth it imo.

                Very interesting photos imo.

Would be nice to know what camera and lens you used.  Nice work imo.

Make sure you have a box of assorted chocolates with you and hand them out to all of the crew.  They will remember you all right. Remember to ask questions, doesn’t matter how simple they are but do ask.  Show enthusiasm at all time and never look glum!

                    Skyfall scene.

This set always intrigues me. You certainly stop eating your popcorn when watching this scene, you are not sure at first which one is JB but hoping he is the victor. Very impressive imo and wonder how it was conceived, you must have played around with different background scenes so why did you choose the jelly fish sequence and what were alternatives.

This scene always excites me, stunning imo. Very clever.

Thats a very effective sequence but Tom Cruise is walking past illuminated shops and would have thought that Stanley didn’t light it that way. It is a very good effect but does look artificial to me, only my opinion of course, unusual for Stanley to accept that.

Not really a film topic but today BBC Radio 4 have been broadcasting a short programme about Roger Deakin. Obviously, not the Roger we know but Roger Deakin the naturalist.

He has swam in nearly every river in the UK and is also an author, his does resemble our Roger so I wondered if they related.

Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. Film production should be a fun process.

Stanley would turn in his grave if somebody suggested CGI. He preferred to achieve effects in camera if possible also high speed computers then were slow compared to today.
