I wonder if any of you have already had a chance to start using this new film stock for a production? Season 3 of Euphoria was filmed on it according to Kodak’s video.

It is too bad we are not allowed to order 400ft film reels for still photography anymore. I would try bulk loading some into 35mm canisters to test out if we were.

Daniel, the Veria 200D is the ECN-2 version of Portra 400. You can buy the film in the stills format either as Portra 400 (sold by Kodak Alaris) or as Ektacolor 400 (sold by Eastman Kodak). Both are the same film.

In the end credits of Euphoria the stock is even credited as Portra (and not Verita).

What I understand is C41 stocks need to have one stop more exposure to get you the same negative density in ECN-2. Hence, Portra, which is a 400 speed film became a 200 speed film in its ECN-2 version.

Thanks for sharing this comment, Valluri. I never considered that could be the case.
