Projecting onto a diff and getting a viewable image on other side?

1. Has anyone experimented with projecting video onto a light diff and having it viewable from the other side, similar to a theatrical scrim?

I can’t find a scrim that will fit on a 12* and Id imagine it would work on a diff just factoring in the exposure drop.

Want to get a projection up behind a band for a music video, whilst keeping it clean of off the band and we don’t have the height in the loc to get the projector up high.

Something like Half Soft Frost or Silent Frost should work but it will have a seam in a 12×12 I think. You can rent a rear projection screen from some video projector companies.
