Hello all!
Some background on me first, I have a bachelor’s degree in film and media and I have been doing freelance photography and videography for a while. I also work at a distillery/coffee shop and I run the social media there. I’ve been involved with a small group of Colorado filmmakers for a while now and we are currently working on a documentary and I was recently promoted to DP because our director knows how passionate I am about cinematography. This is my first time being the DP and I would love any advice but specifically on making a shot list. I’ve always been more interested in narrative films as opposed to documentaries so this is all new territory for me. I’m so excited that my director gave me this chance but I’m definitely feeling the imposter syndrome and would love all the help I can get! I’m working on a commercial for my distillery so I think that will be a great opportunity to practice a shot list and other skills. Thanks in advance for your advice!!
