Doubt

Hello Roger.

Massive fan of your work. It runs so deep. Which is why I wanted to ask you about your working experience on Doubt (2008)

Doubt didn’t get discussed in your GQ interview. However, being the DP on a film starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis (35 Oscar Nominations combined, 5 Oscar wins combined.) is a career pinnacle for 99.9% of cinematographers. Just goes to show how incredible you are sir.

How was it like working with John Patrick Shanley? How did both of your styles become the perfect marriage for this film in which the script was based off the play he wrote.

And returning to the powerhouse cast, I could be wrong, but it looked like a lot of natural lighting was used, as it was shot in New York during the cold months. How did the setting factor in as additional character, in a film with so much tension that is created by some of the best actors of all time.
