Byways double-page spread

Hi Roger,

I wanted to ask about the double-page spreads in Byways. How did you decide which photos went on a single page and which got two pages? I would assume your favorites (like the jumping dog) got two pages, but two-page spreads have the gutter line/stitches running through the middle, which seems to ruin the photo a little bit. How much did you factor that in when laying out the book? Thanks.
