      The Alexa 35 is a brilliant bit of kit, but 17 stops of DR just stops the sky from clipping; it doesn’t magically shape the light or create a mood on an actor’s face.

        Hopefully, in the future, your personal website or podcast (Team Deakins) will have more in-depth film reviews and analyses. Is there anyone here who regularly follows Roger Deakins’ recommended film lists? Could you please share some of your favorites so I can binge-watch them? – block blast
