Still Photography Influence

Hi Roger,

Curious to know how much you believe your work in still photography (and indeed influences from other still photographers whom you admire) have influenced your cinematographic tastes and practices?

Would you advocate for stills photography as a training ground (and room for experimentation) for filmmakers? And are there photographers whose work you would particularly recommend studying?

I study all kinds of visuals and photography is just one. I think the more you study how others interpret what they see around them, whether through painting, photography or design, the more you will find your own way. Photography, drawing, practice in any visual medium will help you develop.
