      Howdy!

I’m filming at a windy beach this weekend, is there any tried and true way to protect the lenses and the camera from sand and sea spray?

      Main issues:
I’m worried about globing and ghosting if I use a filter.
Lens changes: I’m bringing a tent for this.
Bagging the camera: I’m thinking clear plastic and gaff tape?

      Thanks very much in advance:)

You can’t really do better than a plastic bag and gaffer tape. I too would worry about ghosting with a filter but an optically clear glass would protect your lens.

Thanks 🙂 we went with that, surprisingly effective.

Anyone else wanting to shoot on a beach, we used a tent to change the lenses, would bring a little dust pan and brush to get the inevitable sand out.
