Are there many prominent DPs working in television or features that are openly colorblind/color deficient?

Colorblindness includes color deficiencies such as protonomaly (red-green deficiency). Colorblindess does not necessarily mean seeing in grey-scale.

According to ChatGPT, Wally Pfister is red-green colorblind. I searched for a written article with a direct quote from him and did not find one.

I assume most colorblind DPs are reluctant to share this (if many exist). I vaguely recall at least one Team Deakins podcast where colorblindess came up. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the details.

Not a DP and perhaps you know yet but i’ve heard in a podcast episode (not Team Deakins but i can’t remember which one) that Christopher Nolan is color blind. I guess color blindness is a bigger problem for a DP than a director but if It’s true i find amazing what he’s been able to achieve even with that limit (i admired him even before knowing that of course, ah ah!)
