      Hi all,

I’m shooting a short film in a couple of weeks, and I’ve got a scene that involves our protagonist running through a house while the power is out. I’d like to shoot this scene with the torch as our key, and use an on-rig bounce to play some light back at our character as we track her through the scene.

I’m wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for flashlights. Our budget is a tad slim, so I don’t have time to test different lights. I’ve tried a Fenix PD36R, and it creates some brutal banding in-camera (shot on Sony FX6.)

      Thanks for the recommendations, all!

      Chris

I don’t know if Surefire still exist. They were my go to but they were not LED.

Thanks for the recommendation, Roger. Looks like Surefire has a newer LED line released, pretty fantastic. Appreciate it!
