Jumping from £100K Short to £40M Feature

Hi James and Roger,

I’m Dante, thanks for the wonderful talk in Edinburgh a couple of hours ago – I offered to film it for free but Toby said it wasn’t possible – I really enjoyed the event, thank you for visiting!

I was hoping to ask if you imagine the biggest project you had ever done was a £100K short, and the director asked you to film the £40M feature, how would you plan for and cope with this jump? What would you expect on the feature that wouldn’t be obvious from a fully crewed 5 day short?

I’m stepping into Cinematography from VFX. I’ve had a lot of experience with image making but less on the practical side, although I’ve done micro-budget independent film for 10 years.
