I noticed that lately the “edit” option is still visible some days after posting (before it used to disappear) so i don’t know if the bug has been solved in other ways, but anyway it seems i found a sort of turnaround for it.

If you un-check the “keep log of edit” option the edit works more or less without problems (at least for me), so i suppose the bug is there.

Has anyone been getting the “Too many re-directs” error? I’m trying to figure out what’s going on. If anyone is a wizard at bbpress, and wants to lend a hand, please contact me at webmaster @ rogerdeakins.com.

        Thanks!

I sent a link to a possible solution by email (it seems i can’t put active links in a post, it triggers the “too many redirect” bug too) . Summing up, it could be a bbpress theme problem: do you think it could be the cause?  On bbpress forum there are various other posts about problems with the editing function, even if not directly involving the “too many redirects” issue, but i’d say it’s a function not working properly on bbpress in general.

I get it occasionally for about a year now. I haven’t figured out why and when it happens (only that it’s server side, not on my side).

I try posting an image, as a test, to see if it triggers the “too many redirects”… jesse

EDIT: checking the editing function (don’t pay attention to this post, i’m just trying to figure out where the problem is)
