I’m starting to prep for a short scene in a nighttime living room interior. The story has friends getting together, enjoying a drink before dinner. Going for a warm and inviting look. It got me thinking, what is your go-to approach for lighting a warm look without it going to an unflattering yellow or orange?

A few methods I was entertaining:

      1. Using tungsten lights and setting camera white balance a bit above 3200k. Or put a light CTO on top of the tungsten

      2. Using bi-color Led and just warming the light up a bit.

      3. Unbleached muslin bounce

Interesting in hearing if there is a method you prefer, and options I surely missed here! Thank you

You forgot #4: Use tungsten lights and dim them for more warmth

All of your choices are valid, it just depends on what is the more practical or efficient method, like whether there are practical lamps in the shot of “x” color temperature that cannot be changed and thus you have to consider whether to match your additional lighting to those.
