Hi! I’m new at this forum, so I’ll keep it brief. I love movies, and like to make my still look like frames from them – the calmness and tranquility of such compositions always makes me feel happy. For this purpose, I’ve watched Blade Runner, and that was an amazing source of inspiration, as was Drive, as was Stalker, and some other movies praised for their cinematography. But what are your go-to movies for getting better at photography? The most visually striking/compositionally interesting/otherwise noteworthy films?

      Thanks in advance

We watched Hud again the other day. The film’s compositions are worth taking a look at – though its hard not to become immersed in the story. Asphalt Jungle is another film I might recommend for its compositions – amongst many other thangs. Ida is more adventurous without being distracting. In Cold Blood is perfection.
