Dear master Roger How to visualize the passage of ten years at a low budget. I like the beautiful mind time passages when Nash writing his thesis papers. We can’t spend that much money for that kind of stuff. Still need to achieve that visually.

Time lapse would be cost effective. You could do a stop motion shot of dust covering a table or an object of some sort decaying. There is always the pages of a calendar flying by!

Calendar paper flying is very old trick. It’s not visual treatment!. I am sorry Roger I didn’t explain the scene. The scene about five 12 years group of school boys who become addicted to alcohol. There is a one scene a protagonist 12-years-old boy opens the abandoned house door at one night and goes in. The next morning, the door opens after sun rise and He comes out as a twenty-four-year-old boy. Actually he is living in that abandoned house. Because parents kicked out him.

How to apply stop motion technique for this scene.

I think you can use Blender to solve this scene if your character’s face is completely hidden in this part. Of course, this may not be very realistic, just like the bad CG in old science fiction movies from the last century However, the cost is indeed very low…haha

I was being tongue in cheek about the calendar.

You could easily do a time lapse of the door. Fade out the night lighting to black and the time laps dawn rising on the door. Pretty simple and certainly cheap.

Yeah it’s not cost effective idea. I am worrying about how to convey long time passage in this door time lapse.
