Looks Like Spam (2 replies and 5 comments)
It really looks like the spam has slowed down now that the spammers are seeing we are on top of it.
Thank you, Mike, for your hard work on this spam issue.
I am at the Hospital visiting Daughter right now.
We spend most of the day here with her as she has a terminal cancer issue and they are slamming her with chemo which is supposed to be chemo for 6 months.
I do what I can on my Cell phone sometimes I have my laptop here.
I scoured the database for the orphaned posts but could not find them Will look some more when I get back home. FYI I live in Florida (-5GMT)
Anything that does not have an author (unknown) needs to go! Wait, do me a favor and reply to one and do not delete till can see what it tries to send the alert out to and if that person is in our database.
Robert, I am really so sorry to hear about your daughter’s illness, this is sad news and you still manage to involve yourself with the forum whilst visiting your daughter in hospital. You deserve a medal. You never mentioned at what stage they are with the treatment. I am assuming they have just started the chemo process and will remain on it for some time. Some people do react with chemo and are sick and others have no reaction at all. I hope your daughter is in the latter type. Obviously, your daughter is in the good hands of trained hospital staff but you have the worry and stress of it all which can be worse than the patient. The question you have to ask yourself is do you trust the hospital staff that they will look after your daughter when you are not there. I think the answer must be a Yes, otherwise you will drive yourself around the bend with worry. Let the staff do what they do best and give yourself time to regroup. Don’t let your daughter see you stressed as that can make her worse. Let time heal her, they are bringing out new drugs all the time so let’s see what happens. Keep your spirits up and share your energy with her. You have done a fantastic job with forum now do the same for your daughter.
She is in stage 4 but it's a Hopkins type disease one (from the Dr's mouth) that if she can survive the 6 months of Chemo she will have a 99% chance of it being done. Survive Chemo that was a hell of a thing to tell us. But he is also my Dr for the lung cancer I had. I lost 7/8 of my left lung and I being the fighter I am do not require oxygen either. I have machines here if they are needed but 99.9% of the time I do not. I was just released from my lung Dr last week.
So as you can see we have our plates full. I am 72 and think I am 40 or less LOL but realize its time to slow down. I set here every day working on-site and keeping my program in tip-top shape for all my users.
But it is all good and will all work out as it should!
Yes, it is certainly a huge improvement thanks to your hard work, as you know it’s trying to track and identify them before they do any further damage. The ones that are labelled “unknown” are a real pain in the neck as there are hundreds of them. Eliminating them one at a time is very time consuming, pity we cannot gather them up in one pot and then “zap” them all at once, that will speed things up.
The forum is looking much more presentable and inviting which should attract new members.
It's funny because I can see the unknown in the posts and delete them. but trying to find them in the admin area is a PIA because they do not show up at all.
DO you know where a few unknowns are located in the forum if so send me the link to one of them, Please?
I have zapped 47 of them, Robert, gone into orbit! Perhaps James has a record of them. I think one had Mitka 90 attached to it, the others had no ID links so cannot say who they were. Some are very hard to spot and you have to keep reading the same statement over and over until you spot a common spelling mistake that links it to India, China etc.
