Hello Mr Deakins,

May I ask what books have been keeping you busy during the lockdown?

Lately: Moby Dick, The Anarchy, Crucible, Hidden Valley Road, A Long Petal of the Sea and Spain in Our Hearts..

Thanks for sharing sir. I've been meaning to read Moby Dick for years now. I shall order it! Together with Crucible, just read the prologue - I could not stop reading.
Thanks

Have you read anything by Michel Houellebecq? He does have a bleak view of humanity, much like yourself.

I see the world as it is.

Michel Houellebecq was born Michel Thomas, which is a lot easier to say but may not sound so 'exotic'. Then, I suppose Eric Blair changed his name as well - to George Orwell. I have not read Houellebecq's writing as I don't subscribe to his views.
