Episode 74 - ADAM ARKAPAW - Cinematographer (4 replies and 1 comment)
Team Deakins catches up with cinematographer Adam Arkapaw. We learn a lot about the Australian film ANIMAL KINGDOM and how it was shot. Adam also tells us what he does during prep, how he works with a production designer and how he likes to give space to the actors. He also talked about something Andrew Lesnie once said to him and how it affected him. We also speak about how he chooses his projects, and his experiences on Macbeth, The King and True Detective. He shares his experiences in television and compared it to his film work. A fun episode with lots in it!

I'm so disappointed that the podcast never got around to the 2012 film "Lore," which looked at the disillusionment of the German people near the Second World War's end.
I apologize for my comment. I realize that it was an unfair criticism of Team Deakins.
The conversations go where they go so it is not possible to cover every topic as you might want. We do try to cover any topic suggested to us beforehand but that doesn't always fit either.
Could anyone give me a time code for when he talks about Andrew Lesnie? I skipped through but couldn't find it. Thank you.
