Should a cinematographer starting out focus more on Photography or learning how to edit and color correct footage (1 reply)
Do you find that a cinematographer who wants to grow and improve should focus more on photography or post processing like color correcting/grading or editing. I know both are great things to learn but which do you find in your experience has been more valuable when it comes to learning cinematography in general.
Cinematography is about capturing images. The post process is simply that, a way of processing those images. Simply that! Without the image you have no post. Without the image you have no film.
