As far as I know, Roger used a Pentax S1 SLR with a 50mm Takumar lens for the early B/W photos but does admit he did use a Nikon before that but is unsure which camera he actually used. I understand, that he used Kodak Tri X film stock for the B/W photos.
His main still camera is still the Leica M9 which he also uses when he is on set.

You are wrong he said ;
I later bought a Nikon F3 and finally a Leica M6, which is my favorite.
then he also said ;
I shoot with a Leica M8 these days. I do also own a Leica Q, which I use on days when I am scouting for a film and moving around a lot.
Obviously, you are better informed than I. All your answers are stored in the forums archives.
Do we know what type of cameras lenses and film stock is used for the photos in this book?
I remember sir Roger Deakins was using Leica M6 and Ilford stock but can't remember which Ilford.
Also, what is he shooting nowadays HP5 or Delta?
