Planning to shoot a film

Sorry, I didn’t know what topic page to ask this question so I figured that this would be the best page to ask.

I just wanted to know if you have any advice whatsoever on planning on shooting a film? I’m currently planning on shooting two of my own feature films next year with my identical twin brother and we’re just having a bit of bother on planning how to shoot our scenes for our films and properly creating lighting diagrams that other people can read. Do you have any advice on how to plan well?

Your lighting diagrams on your looking at lighting posts are such an eye opener on how you plan lighting, thank you for posting them and making such detailed articles about them. I’ve printed a lot of them out and I currently have them taped to the walls of my study, I love looking at them and analysing them. Thank you.
