Hello Master Roger, I'm curious if you started the color grading process for 1917 first in SDR, HDR or both at the same time (assuming you supervised both).

Also I noticed a slight color difference between the HDR10 and the Dolby Vision version on the 4k BluRay. Did you approve both HDR Versions?

Thanks in advance

My! We did so many versions I have to say we did supervise anything that is out there. We did our standard definition DI pass and then moved on to the various formats such as HDR and IMAX. Sure, there are differences between the versions simply because the contrast ratios and saturation is different for one to another.

Is it possible that these differences between versions affect how a shot or a scene feels?

If you transferred from standard definition to HDR without making any adjustments I think some things would definitely affect the 'feeling', especially when you have a subtle contrast ratio, such as a character in shadow against a bright background.
