Quick question, in real world shooting (non green screen cgi specialist etc) which would be the preferred option. 6k resolution  4:2:0. Vs. 4K resolution 4:2:2. for a theoretical 3K final output.

If I can express my opinion, I will probably prefer to shoot 4:2:2 10 bit than the high resolution.
For sure a high res. could give you the availability to "crop" something in post-process but a better bit depth and chroma subsampling will give you better color gradients on the footage and also on post-process color correction/grading.

I think is a personal choice based on the "final result" that you have to deliver.

Have a nice Sunday 🙂

"exactly what i was searching everywhere for."
Glad to be of service!
I'm kinda locked into 6K recorded as 4K, 10-bit 4:2:2 and I have to admit that I have not looked at that video yet as I am on a laptop with a rotten display. I'll look at it tomorrow on a proper monitor.
