Would love to get advice on lighting my scene (1 reply)
Hey Roger & Forum
First of all, I want to say that it is so cool to go around this forum and see you being so open about your progress. It is really intriguing.
Im a Photography student from Antwerp, and im working on my final project. It is a project where I want my photo's to be really cinematic. They have to look like they could be a still of a great movie.
I'd love to get some advice on how to start lighting the set-up I am building. I've added a PDF, because I feel like I can explain it better with photo's.
Thank you in advance!
You're taking stills? You don't need movie lights: flash is fine. You can probably get the caustic effect using a gobo. (Google it then shout for help if that isn't enough.) Google should be able to tell you how to simulate moonlight using flash too:
About making the window look "dirty," I really would just try painting/spraying some kind of (removeable) gunk on it...
