Hi Roger!

This may be a very simple set but i was wondering how this was lit. Did you use any net or flag to cut reflections exactly on Kate´s face? Is there anything lighting her from inside the house?

There was no net used or any light inside the room. There was, however, a 12' x 20' reflector bouncing light into Kate's face from left of camera. The shot was composed so that the tree was reflected between the lens and her face otherwise it would have been hard to see her against the brightness of the raw sky. But, even with the tree, I needed to bounce light into the shot and balance her face against the brightness of the outside.

I have not seen the film Roger.
Was this a prop made for the scene or did you have a choice of windows to choose from that contained the trees reflection.

The film was shot in a suburban house in Connecticut so this shot and everything in the film was 'real'.
