Hello Roger and the forum!

I was wondering how you lit the TV Set in Fargo, when Frances McDormands Character was watching TV in bed with her husband. Did the TV itself produce the blue light, seen on the black housing of the TV? Or did you add a Light?

Could you imagine a way to get that type of light on the housing with the TV off?

I`m asking because I`m gonna shoot a POV Shot of a character, looking at the TV and then turning to the side and getting up. The footage played on the Tv will be added in post, but i want to see the light coming from the tv interfering with the scene.

Thanks for your time!

If there is no image on the TV I would use a soft LED source inside a dummy of the TV set to create some sort of interactive light. I am pretty sure the POV in 'Fargo' was in camera.
