Hi sir

How you scheduled the border shootout in sicario getting the consisitent look for the shot can you tell us how you planed to shoot with sun in diffrent times in same day

We had the whole scene storyboarded so I mapped it out on a plan of the set before spending a day with our 1st AD working on the schedule of each angle etc.

Sir how you managed to get shadows consistant as afternoon feel

If you look at the sequence you will probably see that the shadows shift as the sun moved from am to pm. In essence we tried to shoot toward the 'Mexican' border post in the morning and once the sun was high enough to clear the frame, toward the 'US' side in the afternoon and square to the hero vehicle during the middle of the day. There are some places where we couldn't do this but most inconsistencies are hidden by the changes in camera angle.
