Hey Roger,

For the Sappers farm INT I would love to know roughly what size bounces & lamps you used to create the soft window light?

Cheers

I surrounded that set with a run of Ultrabounce material that was 12' high and about 10' from the windows. I used 2K Blondes as well as a few 10K and 5K Fresnel lamps.

Aloha Roger,
I just wanted to dig a bit deeper into that. In your breakdown of this set you said "I felt this look complimented the scenes quite well and I also like the minimal nature of the lighting, although in actuality creating the soft bounce lighting when shooting directly toward the windows was quite complicated."

I am just wondering if you might be able to expound on what you did in those shots looking directly into the windows. Or was it the same 2ks/fresnels into ultrabounce?

Thank you!

It was always a combination of the 2Ks with some 5Ks and 10Ks. The complication was getting the angle of the light to penetrate the set without burning out the windows. To do that I had the larger lamps spotted in to an area of the bounce to the either side of a window opening.
