Dear master roger what is the relationship lamp beam width and diffusion size. For instance 4K HMI bean width different from 6K HMI beam width. Generally how do you decide diffusion size for each lamp. Do you consider beam width while you plan to put diffuser in front of the lamp.

You're putting the cart before the horse, the light doesn't determine the diffusion size, the size you want to use comes first, based on various factors, both creative and logistical/physical, and then you decide what sort of light to use to fill it.

For example, in front of a 10K fresnel, you could put a 4x4 frame right in front of it (or on "ears), or through a 6x6, 8x8, 12x12, even 20x20 if you had enough room to back up the 10K to fill it and it was bright enough for you after that -- there is no standard diffusion size for a 10K.
