Mixing Color Temp - NCFOM (1 reply)

Hey Roger,

You've said before you usually keep camera at either tungsten or daylight balance and light from there. For this scene from NCFOM, did you set it somewhere in the middle? Or did you just gel the headlight or bathroom source? I love the look of mixed color temps, but it can be tricky sometimes to get the colors right. Thanks.

'No Country for Old men' was shot on film. I was using tungsten balanced stocks and was I lighting the shot to be the color you see in the final image.  The lights that mimicked the headlamps where at full intensity while the bathroom light was dimmed down.
