Hi all

Back with another music video I DP’d. The director wanted a 90’s American feel/look…in a village in Wales on a budget of £2k.

I enjoyed the challenge. Again, kept it very simple. The whole scene is lit only by 2 aputure 200’s shooting into large diffusion, practical fluorescent tubes of the sports hall were on, gelled and shaped. And a few small pocket lights up-lighting the background wall.

Nice colouring by the way. Not sure if it looks like the 90’s, I don’t remember what the 1990’s actually looked like, was it any different?

The hair cut styles always indicate roughly the year and ofcourse clothing. You can always download the footage for members to see.

The old school gym that hadn’t been upgraded in years helped us a lot with getting an older vibe.

Nice work! It looks natural. I'm curious what size and type of diffusion you used and what crew you had.

Thanks. I had two sheets of muslin hanging, each one about 3m x 2m, connected to make one big source. Crew was 4 people. Director, dop, set designer who doubled up as costume, and an assistant.
