Hello Sir, This is My First Post. I am a Doctor by Profession and I'm having a very Superficial Knowledge about Film Making. Still I wish to ask this Question..

Like many others Shawshank Redemption is one of my Fav movie and

My Question is about the famous roof top scene where all the convicts having beer. Camera moving back from first character, then on Heywood, then turning right onto to Red..

Looking at the Duration of the Shot, I want to know as to how this Shot was Picturised in a One Single Go, particularly in view of limited space with all casts sitting on the floor, Your comment about the Picturisation of the Shot Plz..!

Plz post some photos of the making of this Shot if You have. Thank You. Your reply is well Appreciated.

That shot was made using a small crane arm and a remote head. It's a tool that is very handy for moving the camera when working in small spaces.
