“Formaldehyde” movie (3 replies and 10 comments)
Hey Roger and James!!
It’s Ava Leigh. So, the movie that I have been working on is called “Formaldehyde”, and we have a website up. So, here’s the link! https://www.formaldehydemovie.com». I hope you like it!!!! The trailer is on the website.
The trailer looks good. I think it might have been stronger if it had been less melodramatic, but that's my personal taste and certainly not your responsibility. Where will the film go now?
Thank you for watching it, first of all! Your support means the world to us!!!! This script was written by my mom based on her own true story. We would like to enter it into film festivals. Thank you for asking!!
Can I ask you what camera and lens you were using? Secondly, who was monitoring the sound, it seems the camera inputs were set at auto.
I am using a Blackmagic Ursa. The lenses I switch between are 24mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm. The sound was recorded with a separate audio program; no audio from the camera was used. Thanks for asking and watching!
Thankyou for that. I was intrigued by the extra large fold out camera screen which is the largest I have seen. Some of your mics were crossed indicating stereo recording but I think you were recording in mono.
The screen has saved me!!! So, my dad is the sound guy; I can’t accurately answer any of these technical questions, so we have a brand new contact page on our site, so you can contact him about all your questions!
Questions about sound, of course. If you have any questions about what I shot, I’m here!!!
Hi ava why did you choose the scientific name formaldehyde.
I’m going to be cryptic and say you’ll have to wait and see the film...
Have you finished the film or it still on going. There seems to a large family element in your crew and I wondered who actually decided to make a feature In the first place. You have invested some money procuring equipment which makes me
believe that you intend making more features in the near future. You mother is listed as the script writer so would she be the main impetuous behind your productions.
We are still filming; we have 25% left to film. You are right to say there is a big family element in this project; we’re all we have! My parents officially decided to make the film, but it was a collective decision, as it would affect all of our lives majorly.
As to your inquiry on whether we plan to do more films, the answer is yes.
Wish you all luck,
I am intrigued by your film, not sure why at this stage but it does hold my attention.
Thank you so much!!!!
