Everyone’s too afraid to tell the truth (4 replies and 8 comments)

I can’t stand people who say; “keep politics away from cinematic discussions.” Because everything IN cinema is politics. Whether we are watching a movie about a gay man who wants to be accepted as normal (Moonlight), or an all black cast of Marvel superheroes who hate white people (Black Panther), movies are political. I firmly believe, the core objective is to capture the minds of YOUNG moviegoers, who will be systematically brainwashed to think progressively. This is exactly my gripe with everything that is created in American studios; this cancerous culture is a voice that inspires anarchy, fascism, that divides the country, and it censors freedom of speech. Why is it that every Hollywood actor is a political activist who tell people how to think, what to say, and what is offensive to say. They have accused President Donald J Trump of being a white supremacist. Actors who use guns in their movies lobby for strict gun control. The level of hypocrisy is unbearable. What liberals want is to CONTROL the American people. This is not a conspiracy theory, the truth has emerged. Just look at all the Democratic candidates who want to ban guns, they want to implement socialism, so we can all share the misery, while the Hollywood elite live like pigs in their mansions.

And now after the Mueller report, they want to remove Attorney General William Barr on contempt for “lying” to congress. The radical left want to take over by FORCE, and have even gone so far to remove Trump from 2020 ballots in states like California and Washington. Hollywood has ties to the Democratic Party and have donated vast millions to candidates like Hillary Clinton (2016), Bernie Sanders, and Paul Bootygay. The AMERICAN film industry is an institution of pure evil; even the fake media like: MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, the New York Times! It’s all connected. The truth is that cinema has become a venue to poison YOUNG minds with progressive ideas. They’ve created shit monsters like ANTIFA, and now the majority thinks how Hollywood tells them to think. Everyone is too afraid to speak up, because they will be hanged for not being “politically correct”. If you don’t care about homosexuals, then you’re a homophobe, if black criminals are shot by police, then the police are racist criminals. This way of thinking has diminished Americans! And let’s all thank Hollywood for getting us there.

This forum is an amazing place (I come back all the time for lighting tips - many thanks to Roger and all the contributors!) but it won't stay that way for long if people start posting rubbish like this.

Confucius says, Man who speaks his mind will never get job in the film industry.
JTHomsg has already been chastised on a number of occasions and enjoys the notoriety, a real Hollywood showman.

I noticed you mentioned the word 'rubbish', which means you are from the UK. Hey, how are all those Islamic refugees treating your fellow Brits? You can't even protect yourself from them, because you have no right to bear arms. You've all surrendered your freedom away, and now you are subject to home grown terrorism and high crime rates, most of which include rape. You can also thank George Clooney for that, he loves refugees so much, mainly because his wife is a big shot Muslim lawyer.

@jithomsg Let's stick to discussing cinematography here.

The world is changing right before your eyes, your freedom is in danger of being taken from you and all you can think about is cinematography. The very people you pay to see are unpatriotic and hate what America stands for. Even the tyrants of social media are infringing free speech by BANNING accounts who don’t agree with out the liberal consensus. Guys like Alex Jones have been erased from all social media platforms. They literally ERASED him! If that doesn’t bother you, then you’re part of the problem!

In case you don't know the democrats conspired with the FBI to have President Trump impeached by using the fake Russian collusion story, which has now shifted to obstruction charges. What do politics have to do with movies? Everything! American cinema is used to indoctrinate the masses with progressive propaganda, and the money that these studios make are used to endorse presidential candidates from the Democratic party.

Look at all the hatred that has been instigated by the fake media and late night shows that host your favorite celebrities. The thing they talk about most is how vile Trump is, and how he is "ruining" the country, when that could be further from the truth.

Every major Hollywood celebrity is a political activist, even the Coen brothers are part of it. Ethan Coen was so angry that Trump was elected president that he penned a fuming letter to Jimmy Fallon for "humanizing" Trump in his show. The so called Hollywood elite are tampering with our elections by empowering democratic candidates with huge fundraising campaigns. George Clooney is among them, who has vowed to make Trump a "one term president" in a recent article.

And why this hate for Trump? This sudden, unreasonable hate? Simple. He doesn't fit the globalist agenda. Democrats embrace globalism, which means DESTROYING nation states and borders. Hence, why Dems remain adamant that the US border remain open to illegal foreigners. They are pushing GUN CONTROL, which means the disarmament of Americans, and they preach socialism, which means the government will control everything! Just look at Venezuela, they embraced socialism and were disarmed. Now they are under tyrannical rule. Celebrities and filmmakers could care less about America or Americans; they've embraced an elitist lifestyle, most of the Jewish-Americans don't even care about their native country of Israel.

Just think about what the Hollywood elite stands for: pro-choice, open borders, anti-Semitism, socialism, gun control, censoring free speech. I do not trust the democratic party and the fact that Congress is forcefully attempting to remove a president that the American people voted for! How quickly they shifted from RUSSIAN COLLUSION; something they were accusing Trump of for over 2 years! And when the truth emerged, they shifted to OBSTRUCTION. And all of Hollywood is riding the fake news wave, attempting to convince dumb, misinformed Americans on these falsified crimes!

It doesn't take a genius to see who is lying and who is against the American people.

Look at Clooney trying to preach fake science. Climate change is real, but don't believe that we only have 12 years before we do irreparable damage to the earth like congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez has preached. Al Gore made himself a billionaire exploiting climate change by creating unreasonable fear. I have complete mistrust of celebrities and these kind of agendas. Even Bill Nye the Fake Science guy, who talks about the New Green Deal makes absolutely no sense. Beyond that point, countries like China and India are the major Co2 emission contributors and the rapid deforestation of south America. They distort facts and the Green New Deal would cost 91 trillion dollars to implement, which means it would cost every household 600k to support this. They're all lying, every single one.

Your contribution here is very interesting and the majority of what you’ve have said, I agree with you but does it have anything to do with cinematography, no not really.
Most members on this forum are only interested in the technical aspect of movie making and would probably dismiss what you have written and concentrate on the more important matters in hand. It’s a pity as you would make a good journalist or script writer. Perhaps you are both!
If you think that the movie industry is disjointed, try researching into the Worlds TV industry and how it is funded, you will be astonished.
The point is should we take notice of what you say, most of what you have said has already been published in books and newspapers and so the information is there if anybody wants to research it. It’s not new, most politicians are aware of it whether they are interested or not perhaps they have to be diplomatic and choose the timing when to take issue. Everything is based on the law these days so the common man is restricted on what can be said and where!
Is the system going to change, I don’t think so do you, the movie industry is controlled by finance, accountants have no interest in the film industry or care how it works, they need to show a profit at the end of the day and that’s how it has always been, the Film and TV industry is a high risk business and so transactions have to be conducted by people with a kindred spirit which does means institutions, clubs are formed by people with a common bond of ‘trust’ which can formulate into political activity but that has always been the case going back centuries.
The Knights Templar are a classic case of influential people with a common bond.
Your comments are interesting but need a wider audience such as a newspaper to be effective.

What chance do any of you think you have of “making it”? Disney practically owns the film industry, as they dominate box office year after year. Filmmakers and cinematographers alike have been stripped from their unique voice and vision. They’ve all become the same, I can’t even distinguish who is who anymore. Everyone is a sellout making Marvel movies or making stuff for critics. The age of true art is gone, nobody makes films about what is true and it is disturbing. It’s the same as putting a blind fold on people by diverting their attention with escapism. Even the media is covering up the genocidal deaths of Christians by Muslim extremist. Celebrities don’t shine a light on the hundreds of thousands of homeless people in the state of California. American cinema is a mere political weapon or a powerful tool of diversion and distraction from the real world. And cinematographers have become voiceless slaves, selling out for a bigger house. No artists, just sellouts and more bullshit!

Fortunately, I am not looking for work but there are many out there who are and the competition is becoming greater for those just starting out in their chosen career.
They have a greater chance of survival if they wear a number of “hats”, learning other skills will reduce the failure rate but it is ‘who’ you know, not what you know thatcounts. ‘Luck’ always plays a major part.
