Documentaries (2 replies and 3 comments)
You’ve mentioned getting your start in documentaries. I’m curious why you’ve seemed to move completely out of that genre. Do you think you might ever go back to them?
I daydream about doing so but I really enjoy shooting drama and it would be hard to commit to a lengthy documentary shoot. Besides, the kind of documentary that I like bring all kinds of awkward questions to my mind these days regarding motive.
would you consider a shorter documentary?, like Chris Nolan did for the Quay brothers.
Very much depends. I don't know the one you are referring to.
I think that you will find that this was a Koninck Studio London production by well known animators Quay brothers. I haven’t seen the film but Chris Nolan was only the narrator. Not a great fan of their work being Eastern block style puppet animation but they are very experienced animators. I met one of them at the City Literary Institute of design Holborn, way back, lovely people though.
Not a lecture but 2 pence worth of useless information.
