Hello Roger,

Considering your love to the work of Tarkovsky and Zvyagintsev, I'm curious what you think about Alexander Sokurov films? Namely 'Mournful Unconcern', 'Days of eclipse' and 'Russian ark'. I find them to be absolutely amazing. He is certanly one of the best filmmakers working now.

Tarkovsky himself once called him a genius.

I admire his work very much but the film that sticks in my mind is 'The Sun'. The film portrays Emperor Hirohito at the end of WW2 and it is kind of brilliant.

Issei Ogata acting was great but photographing the movie by himself wasn't the best decision, in my opinion.
