Whole movie happened in police station (1 reply and 7 comments)
Dear master roger We are going to do small budget movie. The story line about An emotionally unstable murder suspect explains the modus operandi behind the crimes he had committed to a few cops which helps in unfolding some intriguing revelation. The director want to do solo act for whole movie. Basically the director do the lead character himself. The full movie is going to happen in police officer room. Of course there is police officers sitting and do enquiry. But we didn't want to show any characters in this movie. Except the one lead suspect character. We want to convey police officers enquiry through dialouges. We want some refernece movie. Suddenly Barton fink camer style comes to my mind. We want to do camera also another character. Do you think this would work for this story. And also we are planning to do most of the shots subjective. What's your opinion. How to do shot construction for a movie happen in restricted police station room. Can you suggest any similar movie like this. Have you seen any solo act movie as well as good photography.
Check out this movie just made in the Tamil language with a solo character. Might be of some help.
Mr.sam i have watched this movie. It was not good at any aspect. Over acting, weak shot construction, and camera movement. I felt lighting also not suitable for context.
I thought it was rather good imo. Excellent editing, lighting and superb SFX.
A lot of information ‘shoe horned’ into a limited space, may not be to everyone’s liking but it worked for me. Lovely short. Didn’t like the rich colours though.
Is it possible to judge the lighting, lensing and editing for 6 minutes trailer footage. I don't think so mike. Over acting, pacing is not good. Of course i am learner. I did find some mistakes. I can send the same movie torrent download link. In India most of the trailer seems good. You could watch the full movie mike.
So it was the trailer was it? I thought it was a short film. The film was fresh to me, you watch these films all the time but I thought it was different maybe a comedy as the acting was a bit cheesy I must admit. It was a fun piece not to be taken seriously but I did enjoy watching it, it had lots of energy and very good camera work imo. It was not meant to be a block buster and will not win an Oscar but it was certainly interesting. It wasn’t meant to be anything else, it was pure entertainment, that’s all.
Not seen the whole film but certainly looks interesting. These films are very successful in the U.K and are big earners so will look forward to seeing this one.
I am talking about solo act movie. I don't think "The guilty" is solo act movie. I have seen this movie two years before. Roger may speak whilst his free time about this topic
