Different director movies vs different pacing (1 reply and 2 comments)
Some directors, such as Tarkovsky or Bergman, seem drawn to similar kinds of stories and may seem to use a similar 'pacing' from film to film. That may just be their personal taste. Peckinpah's films were not all similarly paced. 'The Ballad of Cable Hogue' is not 'Convoy' and there is considerable variety within each film.
What about great director Kurosawa?
For me sam Peckinpah movies not familiar than you. Probably You are the one introduced Peckinpah film making to me. I like Peckinpah pacing sense.
Master sir roger i have seen |La samurai' and 'illustrious corpses' one by one. But my inner mind like very much la samurai pacing compare than illustrious corpses. I don't know why. I like very much sam Peckinpah pacing style. Generally pacing determined by genre and context.right? Some very good standard movies pacing is not pretty good. The pacing also depends the director personal taste? Do i seems like thinking too much about pacing. Could you please talk about little more brief about context and pacing.
