Operating with Alexa.

Hey Roger,

I have been watching all of your interviews across the internet over the past few months or so and Iam extremely excited on how great you make the Arri Alexa sound, i cannot wait till i see your results on the screen! Anyways you talk about the fantastic image it creates along with its latitude and fantastic color palette, but i was curious on how you liked operating with the Alexa. Is it lighter then the 535B? Im guessing yes?... Also did the size, weight and shape give you more flexibility and advantages when operating? Also on the film "NOW" did you use an Alexa with an optical viewfinder?

Once again thank you.

Alexa is much lighter than a 535b.

There is no OV-version of the Alexa yet. Marc Shipman-Müller von Arri told me, the OV-version will be released in decembre, first presentation is on the IBC in Amsterdam.

That's right, there will be a camera with an optical finder in the autumn. As far as operating with the camera it is lighter than a 535B. Other than that I found little difference in the way I used it.
