Blackmagic Cinema Camera

anyone seen this camera yet?

2.5K image sensor with a wide 13 stops of dynamic range for 3k USD?
You get a built-in SSD recorder, popular open standard uncompressed RAW and compressed file formats, compatibility with quality EF and ZE mount lenses.. wow
I wonder if it has any dynamic range, I'm not expecting 13 stops, even half of it will be more than enough.
davinci resolve + ultrascope included in that price

I've heard and read the specs months ago, I'm not asking what is written on brochure. That small sensor might be much better than 5d sensor. So,I'm simply asking if anyone seen / tested it yet.

The official line from BMD last week was they haven't yet released a prototype as they need to get it tested by Apple to certify the Prores codec - they said 4-6 weeks which is almost on top of release time now.

I'm pretty excited about it too. I'm selling my AF101 because I want to be able to shoot 10bit log in 2.5k - that's a big deal to me for projects where I don't have the money to rent an Alexa or Red. Yes, the sensor being 16mm equivalent is a downer, as well as the crop factor - but many good films have been made on 16mm! plus going from the AF101 to the BMD the depth of field/crop differences should be unnoticeable as they're pretty similar in both categories.

John Brawley published some test footage over on his website as well as some framegrabs of the raw images. They certainly looked flat to me but I'll reserve judgement until I've had a go with it.

I have had mine for about a month and really like it. Given this is my first RAW camera so compared to my 5d mkiii it is a dream. Going to such a small sensor from a full frame camera took some getting used to. I would be curious to hear what others who have worked with higher end cinema cameras would think of it.

It is hard to beat for the price and I have enjoyed learning resolve.

its writes 10bit 4:2:2 data right?
