New Cooke Panchro

Postby ioan meltzer » Sun Apr 15, 2012 4:04 am

Hello Mr. Deakins,

First of all, I'd like to thank you for this website which is a gold mine of informations and inspiration ! I know, I'm not the first one and certainly not the last who says that !
My first question to you is about the new set from Cooke, the Panchro. Have you ever used or tested them and what is your opinion on this set?
The second one, is about the Zeiss lenses. I know you use most of the time the Master Primes and I'd like to know if there is a way to make them look like the Cooke.
Thank you for your answers !

Best regards,

Ioan

I have not tested the newer Cooke lenses yet. As far as making the Masters look like the Cooke lenses, the S4s that is, I am not sure that many people could tell a difference in normal circumstances. The difference as far as I am concerned is in the way a highlight will flare and in the relative speeds of the two sets of lenses.
