Just another request for a portfolio-review

Hello Mr. Deakins,
first of all congratulations for another ASC Award Nomination! I haven't seen "True Grit" yet but I am definitely looking forward to watch your most recent work.

If you have the time, I would highly appreciate it if you could take a look at my stills, although the subject I am photographing (Tennis) might probably not be your favorite one. I am trying to approach the sport from a different angle and it is my wish to collect opinions from people with different photographic backgrounds and viewpoints. You can find my images at:

True, I am not a huge tennis fan. I prefer cricket and Manchester United myself. I think you are trying to capture the characters rather than the action and you are doing it well. For me the most successful shots are those that get close to the faces and even then I feel you could get even closer still.

Thank you very much for reviewing my images and for commenting! My biggest lens at the moment is a 200mm which makes it a bit harder to get very close to the faces while sitting at the sidelines, but I do get your point. Maybe I can start experimenting by cropping the existing images a bit tighter.
