It gives a subtly different look. I forget exactly what we used for 'The Assassination of Jesse James...' Sometimes I will do a test output with a Fuji print stock in comparison with a Kodak stock. For 'A Serious Man' we used a Fuji intermediary stock for our output negatives but printed on Kodak stock. The Fuji intermediary seems to have markedly less grain than the Kodak alternative and produces a slightly more vibrant image.

I thought Kodak Vision Premier was the absolute dominant color print stock among DP's in Hollywood. I recall some European films using Fuji print stock. I think the use them because it's cheaper, but I am not sure.
But if you're using Fuji print stock for DI recording , isn't Fuji ETERNA-RD the most popular nowadays?

I have never used Kodak Premiere print stock. The Fuji intermediary stock is excellent and has tighter grain than the Kodak equivalent. We used this Fuji intermediary stock for the output negatives of 'A Serious Man' and the standard Kodak print stock for our prints. The Fuji print stock is cheaper and gives a subtly different result to the Kodak print stock.
